Community Meeting:
Future of 1120–30 N. State Street

Monday, December 15 • 6:00 p.m. (Virtual)

The Gold Coast Neighbors Association and Alderman Brian Hopkins will cohost a virtual community meeting to discuss the future of 1120–30 N. State Street, currently home to Lou Malnati’s and a vacant former Barnes & Noble space.

Convexity Properties, which recently purchased the property and also owns the adjacent Viceroy Hotel, will provide an update on its plans. The company intends to pursue a project similar to—but smaller than—the mixed-use development approved in 2021 under the previous owner, Newcastle Investors.

Alderman Hopkins and GCNA welcome renewed progress toward redeveloping this long-underutilized site. Register here.
